Tech-Link's mission is to introduce students with physical, visual and hearing disabilities to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
TECH-LINK provides middle school and high school students with information, role models, and learning opportunities through job shadowing, robotic camps with their non-disabled peers, and internships with local businesses. Internships for college age students with disabilities continue to expand in the Pittsburgh area. TECH-LINK promotes a philosophy that students with disabilities should live functional and independent lives.
Expanding the student's knowledge of high-tech careers and providing the motivation to pursue those careers promote this belief.
Tech-Link is an outreach program of the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences.
