Our Mission:

Tech-Link's mission is to introduce students with physical, visual and hearing disabilities to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

TECH-LINK provides middle school and high school students with information, role models, and learning opportunities through job shadowing, robotic camps with their non-disabled peers, and internships with local businesses. Internships for college age students with disabilities continue to expand in the Pittsburgh area. TECH-LINK promotes a philosophy that students with disabilities should live functional and independent lives.

Expanding the student's knowledge of high-tech careers and providing the motivation to pursue those careers promote this belief.

Be part of the team!

Participants will be employed with professionals in a technology-related field. You will actively engage in projects with mentors to gain perspective on professional careers in technology. Past employers include the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Highmark, Inc., Human Engineering Research Laboratories, and the National Weather Service in Moon Township.

Professional Shadowing:
Spend a day with a professional!

Students will be provided opportunities to spend time with scientists and other technology professionals during a typical workday to gain perspective and exposure over different areas of science, engineering and technology.
